Plus size Indigo cotton quilt reversible kimono style jacket
One of a kind reversible cotton kantha jacket /kimono made from vintage cotton quilts.
This one that I’m selling is the one pictured on the hanger and not on the Model. The one on the Model is almost identical but there are slight variations.
This is one size and will fit anyone from a size 6 up to size 2X.
In the photos you can see the reverse side. Like having 2 jackets for th e price of one.
The pictures show it reversed to each side. It is
33 inches long measuring back neck to hem. The chest measures 54 inches around. Truly a unique piece of art. The photos show each side front and back and reversed.
These kantha jackets are made from old vintage kantha quilts. “Kantha” refers to the tiny hand stitch that village women use to sew different pieces of fabric together into the patchwork that becomes the quilt. The quilts are often repaired and patched again by hand. This is part of the charm and unique quality of the quilts. Everything has been upcycled and repurposed. The irregularities in the quilts are what make them special, as it gives the garment made from them a feeling of having passed through many loving hands.
